Fitness assessment
Simply exercising without having a measure of what you exactly are doing is futile effort always measuring what you do is the best example and the best way of achieving things. The best way is assessing what you have done. There are several tests that can be done or performed to find out how much have you achieved in the fitness process.
There are few tests like the fitness mass test or the evaluation of the body mass index. This helps in knowing how much mass you have achieved during the exercise session. Then monitoring the blood rate, the pulse rate or the heart rate is also one important thing to do. There are other tests like the lung capacity test or the strength monitoring is required to be checked time to time.
Body mass index is one of the most common tests in the exercising pattern. It determines a person’s overall growth and the ratio of height and weight and checks the proper growth of the body. If the body mass index achieves more than the normal growth or less than the growth then there are chances that doctor may advice you something.
BMI test is not considered to be the most standard test in field of fitness test as there are people who have large muscle growth but are high BMI index so for true measurements there are other tests done too. These tests may be the hydrostatic check of the body or checking the fat content of the body. So it might be helpful to go for tests like these.
The heart rate or the pulse rate can be an exact evaluation of what the affect of exercise is having on the body. There are few set formulas to determine the person’s heart rate or even the pulse rate changes in the body. The basic formula of a safe heart rate in a person is 220 minus the age of the person. The figure thus obtained should be multiplied with 0.9 and this figure thus obtained is then added back to the person’s resting rate, and then the figure thus obtained is the safe heart rate of a person while exercising. For example if a person’s age is 50 years then the normal formula of obtaining the safe heart rate if resting heart rate of the person is 60 then the formula is (220-50-60)0.9+60. This is the safe heart rate for any person while exercising.
There are other common tests or the fitness tests that are done like the oxygen rate and the heart rate while exercising. The level and the ability of blood to oxygenate itself throughout the body is a way to measure what the safety limit to exercise is. The measure of lung capacity is also a way to judge the proper measure of safe exercising.
There are many gyms and even health clubs that allow the measure of these tests and also allow heart rate check and also there are well trained experts that might easily help to evaluate these safe limits of exercising. There are many exercising centers that provide these tests free of cost.
If you do not trust these exercise centers there are always options of going to the nearest physician or physiologist that can help you evaluate these things faster and even safer. These tests are important because at times there are chances that the person might faint and even lose the power to exercise.
